I’m biased because I own a 991.2 GT3, but this sounds underwhelming. Only +10 horsepower accompanied by expensive measures to keep weight the same. Seems the net improvements are limited to better aero, quicker throttle response from the ITBs, and better handling due to the new front wishbones. Meanwhile, the particulate filters may mean a net detriment to sound.
Then there are the looks. More subjective for sure, but I just don’t think either the exterior or interior design is as cohesive or as sporty.

That said, they could mean a 10 horsepower gain over the RS or Speedster. Even then, the improvement would be marginal.

I don’t think it’s a total 10 GP increase.
Rather they had to increase an additional 10 hp above and beyond the net gain in hp from the 991.2 version to account for the GPF filter.
Happy to be proven wrong.

Here’s the original article:
https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/...-gt3-mitfahrt/
Carbon hood, engine deck lid and wing. Light weight glass, exhaust including OPF 6kg, 408mm steel brakes, 410mm carbon. Double wishbone and interior pretty much as always, but in 992 version. Talks about having 10 more hp even with OPF, but don’t know if that was a statement of the total power or just referring to the OPF. However, AP says that when you don’t have more power then you have to work on aero...
Oh, and for those who wonder, yes, the rear bumper is still with camouflage in this picture and yes there still is some on the swan neck as well. The rest is pretty much how it will look.

Re: double wishbone suspension. Do they mean on the front? That will be a big change on the 911 chassis.

Article says the gain is only 10 horsepower, with AP explicitly explaining they had to target aero improvements because it wasn't possible to extract much more from the engine.
That said, they could mean a 10 horsepower gain over the RS or Speedster. Even then, the improvement would be marginal.

RS (sounds decent). That’s the range I was hoping for (expecting)

If 510PS is the final number, that leads me to think they're really holding back for the 50th Anniversary Carrera RS (and the GT3 RS, if not the same car). If the RS was going to have some sort of electrical assistance, then I think they'd let the GT3 have more than 510PS...

Well, it was only an 18hp jump from the .1 to the .2
I think the track figures will help people decide if this is a formidable go-around. That said, it IS THE LAST naturally-aspirated manual-transmissioned GT3 4.0L from Porsche.

Agree though, that it won't be a huge jump in power, and that the 992.2 GT3 will be the one to get if you plan to upgrade in the 992 generation, as the 992.2 GT3 will get the 4.2L engine and a bigger jump in power compared to engine changes in the 992.1 GT3.

And only the .2 RS might get a hybrid. The .2 GT3 will still have an NA engine with a manual option.
Happy to bet you $100 on that eventuality.
