So GTS/GT3 is not the same width GT3 RS/Turbo which is considerably wider.

992 GT3 = 992 S/4S
992 GT3 RS will most likely use the 992 Turbo body shell if it follows past tradition.
Ok copy that thx

Doubt it - seems like 50th Anniversary Carrera RS or RSR will be the keeper...

*really* not loving that rear wing ... nor really loving the front of the car much either, just as well I don't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting a 2 allocation slot ... I'll just stick with my 991.2 instead!

I actually like the position of the uprights inboard. One of the best looking features, to me, of the 997.2 RS/4.0 is the placement of the uprights following the lines of window, as all before it including the race cars up to that point.

I am not a fan of the outboard 991 RS uprights position. Although I will admit it makes for a great differentiator on looks GT3 to RS.

While nothing will surpass the look of the 997.2 uprights, to me the swan neck 992 is moving with the times (and efficiency). I think it looks pretty good. Albeit a bit too low from a pure aesthetic point. I am sure it is appropriately efficient for the car.

This unequivocally answers the air intake question. Also the uprights have a little tape on them still.

Oof, it really is a bit painful to look at no? Clean Touring all the way, Starbucks downforce be damned.

I would guess uprigts are not as wide at the base as these would indicate -- hence the tape. These look wider at the base than the much taller RSR uprights, so I wonder if this isn't one more step of messing with us.

I'm with you all the way on this one, while I get the technology and why this is good for a race car - these are just plain f-ugly on a street car, heinous and hideous - I am not beholdinh any beauty there... give me an RS upright anyday ... or a touring or a ducktail ... and I *never* thought I would say that ...

and ... if this is the GT3 ... WTF will the RS look like?

this GT3 has jumped the design shark for me I'm afraid ... happy to stick with my 991.2 ...

I was in the camp of liking the back, but this pic has me a little scared now, specifically:

1) Those intake vents look way worse than the 991.2 ram air intake scoops. Here’s hoping those are not the final design or else aftermarket ram scoops ala 991.2 will become available.

2) I’m really hoping that the wing uprights are hollow GT4 style brackets and just taped over to look solid for camo purposes.

If that’s the final rear end design I might be going touring as well and I usually love wings.

Agree with alex and larry.

This looks great for a race car, but not for a GT3, which is supposed to have the look of a very sporty carrera, but not full race car. I understand its functionality, but it looks tacked on, and in comparison, both 991 GT3 wings looked like an organic (and functional) part of the car. The 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 are both supermodels compared to this 992.1 GT3.

So glad I purchased a 991.2 GT3 with ED! I'm content to wait until the 994 generation.
