Default 992 GT3 testing at Nordschleife yesterday

New video of 992 GT3 testing at Norschleife yesterday. Go to 12:50 on the video.

The camouflage on the wing has been removed so you can clearly see its a swan neck top mounted wing. Also, the S-Duct is clearer on the nose.

Also, note the car it's following.

Other parts of the video also feature the GT4 RS, 718 GTS PDK and 992 GTS.

Any guesses on whether the Touring will have the mini-duck, as seen here on the winged GT3, minus the swan neck wing? I think that would look pretty bad-*** actually. I have never been sold on the look of the Gurney flap anyway. Looks tacked on to me - maybe that is because it IS tacked (double sided taped) on.

Speculation last month on Motor Authority that this was a Turbo RS or Sport Classic.

The license plate holder/area looks really weird on the ducktail car. It also looks terrible on the lower bumper, where the GT3 has a nice looking diffuser. Hopefully it’s just disguised with camo/padding.

FINALLY something new!!!!! Thanks for posting OP.

Say what you want about the base 992, I’m really loving the look of the GT3!

Also really glad to see Porsche out testing. Shows the gears are still turning and that the reveal is coming closer. Porsche is smart and wouldn’t remove a bunch of camo to go for a ride on the ring unless they wanted it to be “leaked”.

I think the GT3 looks fantastic.

Here are some more spy shots. Good view of the S-duct. The RS is going to look crazy I think.

@odwa Just another example of how beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I passed on a perfectly specced pre-owned 991.2 GT3 because I wanted to see what they’d come up with for the 992 first.

So glad I decided to wait: the new headlight design looks much nicer (I dislike the look of the “rings” on the 991.2 LEDs), new S-ducts are looking great from what we can see, the RS style hood is awesome, & swan-neck spoiler looks delicious. I could go on, but all these little improvements (in my opinion) are making it a nice improvement over the 991.2. Cant wait until it’s officially revealed and we get to find out the performance improvements as well.

Ah crap, I’m fully aboard the hype train now hahaha

Edit: Forgot to mention how nice the new wheels look as well, very BBS FI-R like which I’m a fan of.

Yeah, they won't miss an opportunity to entice us to upgrade. Especially when lap time is revealed beginning with a "6"
