Enjoy the car! Don't save it for the next person. Who cares how much you spent.

Sounds like a decent deal. Porsche money factors are high, so you cannot expect the same proportion of $lease/msrp as the mass market brands, particularly Mercedes. If it's not too late, take a look at the Penfed loan products. Worked out well for me, lower payments and I should have significant equity at the three year mark, when either I'll pay it off, or get into a 992 if it's to my liking. By they way, if you do lease, you can be in the 992 in 33 months, easy. Porsche will pull you ahead, so that may be a good reason to keep your lease deal.

To be fair, he made it our business by layout out his deal. In fact, he specifically invited comments about it.

Personally I like to lease because I can write part of it off, but just as importantly if some bimbo (male or female) slams in the back of me while checking their Instagram or Facebook status I don't have to worry about the massive hit I would take. I live in a very congested area and this has already happened to my X5M and Cayenne Turbo. That's why I lease and it has saved me tens of thousands....

Q) How did I do?
A) You ended up with your dream car at a price you are happy with... I'd say you did great!

And you can drive it 10k miles per year! 32,500 miles is in a little over 3 years is a very nice plus. Use them all!

The mileage restriction bothers me - but I'm almost at 7000 miles and haven't hit 90 days yet.

I leased a 16 base cab with plenty of options for similar numbers. Yes, it's expensive, but what part of Porsche did you think wouldn't cost a lot of money? To me, the thought of driving it back to the dealership in 30 months and handing them the keys was worth the expense of leasing. I may even lease a 2019 at that time, or buy a 14 Turbo S. Who knows, but I have lots of options even if it costs a lot. Congratulations and welcome to the club.

$57K to rent a car for three years -- yikes. I bought a higher sticker price 991S than OP's, and own it outright for a few grand more than he's going to pay in rent. Just doesn't seem like it makes financial sense. To each his own, of course. I guess I never appreciated the value some people place on not having to sell or trade in a used car.

How'd I do??

Also basic maintenance pack adds 11$ a month. Obviously pays for itself but can I do better? Have a few days to decide.

So excited to be a part of the community!
I think you did well. I was offered a 2017 for $1,200.00 or $1,250 per month with nothing down, but the care had an MSRP of thousands lower than your car. Based on that, i think you did really well.

Next time, setup an account and save $1,400 per month. Then in about 3-4 short years, take the money out, and go pay cash for a lightly used 911. You'll own it.

Congrats on renting your dream car, I just challenge you to dream a little different in the future. Sorry for the lecture, now go clean your room.
LexVan - Awesome advice. I will take it as it answers an dilemma that I was having.

And to the Op - Congrats on your new Car - Great news and please post pics of the new ride.

Not only that but you are on somebody else's schedule. It may turn out I would prefer keeping the car for 1, 5 or 10 years to jumping through some hoops at "39 months".

Sometimes it is not about money. Sounds like you got the car you wanted at a fair price.
It's all good at that point. Go enjoy the car!
