How did I do?
Leased a 2017... Dream car! Super excited. 39 months, money factor .002, 2500 down and 1399 a month. Sticker 109,000 and selling price 103,000.
How'd I do??
Also basic maintenance pack adds 11$ a month. Obviously pays for itself but can I do better? Have a few days to decide.
So excited to be a part of the community!

So, for a 39 month period, you're going to rent a $103,000 Porsche 911 for $57,100???? I could never stomach stroking a monthly $1,400 check to drive a car.
Next time, setup an account and save $1,400 per month. Then in about 3-4 short years, take the money out, and go pay cash for a lightly used 911. You'll own it.
Congrats on renting your dream car, I just challenge you to dream a little different in the future. Sorry for the lecture, now go clean your room.

First, you don't know what tax advantages he may be able to advantage. Second, you are far too sophisticated to think that a purchased auto depreciates any less than a leased vehicle. Third, ultimately the lessor is taking the risk of any future damage history or mechanical history. Fourth, with the cost of capital in today's interest rate environment, one can successfully argue that he is better off leaving his capital invested in the S&P 500 and (historically) will do far better than the cost of capital to invest those funds. Fifth, you assume that purchasing a used vehicle makes more sense than purchasing a new one. Economically, you are correct, however YOLO! For many of us, this has been a life long dream. Having said all that, I purchased my '16 GT3 used, as I could not stomach paying over MSRP for any car not even a GT3.

Congrats on your new car.
I think that trying to justify the purchase or lease of a Porsche in financial terms is a futile exercise. People buy and lease Porsches for other reasons. If you can afford it and you like it, then bravo! Enjoy it and never look back.
I never imagined that I would spend as much money on a car as I did on my 991, but I did.

Leasing a $100k car is around that range monthly, you did great. It's all about the experience and what makes you happy in the end. If we all made logical decisions 100% of the time, we will be soulless, driving a Ford Fiesta or (worse) a Toyota Camry. Just enjoy and don't listen to people that ask about "how much money it cost you" because it's none of their bizness.
