Cherryblock, Thanks for the link with Venetian Blue photos. That is exactly what I was looking for! Forgot to mention it will be a GTS and that shade of blue should work well with all the black accents and wheels.

I had an '87 G50 coupe in Ventian Blue as a good weather DD from '94-'01. Fabulous color.

It is a beautiful color!

Default 'Venetian Blue'...

I do not see 'Venetian Blue Metallic' on the
approved list dated 5/30/2017. I know there
is a new list out in past week or so. Maybe it
is listed there. But usually you would see it
months ahead as it's being tested. It would
have been listed as undergoing 'Feasibility
Study
' but not yet approved or denied. Can
you tell us what the color code 'Venetian'
has now per your information & when you
were told that color was approved for the
991 by PAG. The color code might be
numbered '35V', '35U' or '36P'. But double
check & get confirmation the color is indeed
approved!

Eduardo, Will do. I just got told Monday that my request for Venetian Blue is a "go" for a 2018, however my GTS allocation is probably not until January. I will be at the dealer tomorrow and will ask for the paint code because I want to make very sure it is correct and get a confirmation. I know it took almost 2 weeks for my SA to get back to me.

Do they have to still do a "feasibility study" when it was approved for a 997 before? Thanks for the help.

I have now the latest PTS list & it's not listed
under the 'V' color names. So do double check
& good luck!

It appears that at least in the 991 era, a
requested PTS color needed to pass a new
feasibility test (regardless if it was approved
for the 997 or any previous model
) to make
sure it was compatible (coverage, fade, etc)
with all the surfaces (aluminum, steel, plastic,
etc
) on this, the newest of the 911 models!
