Driving to work this AM out of nowhere Dash lights up "Loss of 4 wheel drive safe to drive". Anybody have any ideas of anything I can check before I bring it to my dealer? Car is 2014 and has 12,345 on the clock and I do not track.
Funny just got off the phone with my service Rep. and his reply was exactly the same, " WOW never heard of that". It was NOT what I wanted to here and neither did it inspire confidence.
OK C4s owners they are still looking at the car but they thing it my be the transfer case! First one they have seen on a 991. They tell me that Porsche is apparently having Macan and Cayenne transfer cases grenade themselves but this is the first 991 that MAY have the problem that they have seen. Still checking the car out and they still may find something as simple as a fuse. Hoping for the best prepping for whatever comes.
Thank you for keeping us informed on this issue. Can you comment on if the warning was locked in still even after a restart of the engine etc. Sometimes these electrical gremlins reset after a reboot.
I've had several warnings that went away upon restart on my 981.
