What do you pay for Insurance
What do folks pay for insurance for their 991?
For my C2S cabriolet Allstate is quoting me $996 for 6 months, which seems very expensive to me. Especially since we have only 2 drivers and 4 cars and I told them I would drive this one only around 5k miles/year.
We have good driver discounts, multiple policies, no accidents on our records, etc.
They claim that repair costs are high on this vehicle, but still $2k a year???
Who do you use and how much do you pay?

Just got my statement. 6 months.
State and city are DETERMINING factors too. Even different areas of a city. Downtown or outskirts.

Wow that sounds very high but of course I refuse to live in the peoples republic of California for just such reasons. My 2015 GTS runs me $820/yr from State Farm.

Cali definitely higher than the midwest. I carry higher deductibles on all my cars and self insure to a certain extent. It will cut premiums. I have used State Farm for many years.

I'm in my fourth six-month term with Geico for our three cars and they keep smoking the other companies since I usually recompare during renewal. They also haven't tried to boost my rates after the first introductory rate year like the last two companies I had used. This time the rates from everyone else I tried were approaching twice as expensive.
I'm paying $540 for six months for the Porsche part of the premium (pleasure use) but I also have $251 deductible so I'm not reluctant to fix things even though it is not the most economical way to go. If I bumped it to $1001 it would drop it to $418 but I'm ok with the extra $20/month. I also have rather high coverages for the different liabilities and uninsured motorists.
I'd certainly try getting their online quote, it doesn't take all that long. Here's the car-specific part, the rest of the amount is the liability coverages.
