after I tried bypassing it with the software, to no avail, I removed the whole thing and hooked it back up the way it originally was. now I need to send it back and get a replacement module :/
taking it off was super difficult not being able to see it. i ended up breaking off that clip on the harness that plugs into the silver module on the backside of the rear seats. just couldn't seem to get it to release. once everything is put back to normal, your top should work without issue. the other problem is that if you take it to the dealership with their module still attached, you might have problems with the warranty
