Default Don't laugh

Don't laugh but I find getting in and out of a 911 a bit of a contortionist act. This is really the only negative in my short time in the 911. I'm sure I'll get use to it. My 3 most Recently rides include R56 Mini, E90 M3 and T3 Touareg.

Are you kidding? You should try a Lotus Elise with the top in place.

I put my hand at the back part of the door sill and use my arm to pole vault in and out.

The Elise is a limo compared the the Europa. It's easier to climb out of a coffin than a Europa. Come to think of it, just riding in the Europa got you thinking about coffins.

The 911 is my first sports car. I can't imagine a Huracan or 488.

There is a proper technique. Then again, it all depends on how tall and how much someone weighs.. It can make things easier or harder.

Someone once made a thread about it. After that, there was one on how to close the door

Someone maybe can dig them up.

I agree, and I'm young and medium sized. The 991 is significantly harder to get in and out of than earlier 911's. I think it's because of the high, wide sills.

Bingo. The high sill makes the frame more tub like and probably more rigid but also makes me kick up to get in.

If you have memory seats in your car, you should check to see if you have Comfort Entry. If you do be sure it is enabled under the settings accessible from the stalk controls (or thumbwheel in the newer cars with multifunction wheels). That will move the seat back and raise/retract the steering wheel to make it easier to get in and out. Remember that this setting may be enabled/disabled per key.
