Default Just joined! Also have a question about a part

Hi guys. Have been reading the forum for the past few months, but thought I would join. I have a 2013 C4S I bought last year. Here are some pictures.

Here is the part question. I had the 40k/4 year service done last week and everything was great. No issues with the car. I even drove it on a 300 mile road trip with no issues.

A few days ago when I made a tight turn, I heard a short rattle behind the steering wheel. I then found this piece on the floor mat. Any ideas what it is? Should I be concerned?

It looks similar to the brake pedal clip that secures the brake booster push rod to the brake pedal. If I am right you should be able to confirm by looking at the top of the brake pedal where it actuates the booster rod. If there is a piece missing, then thats the part.
If this is the culprit, it is important and should be reinstalled. Looks like a pretty easy DIY.

I found the same piece a couple of days ago. I've looked but can't see where is goes. Do you have a picture of where it goes?

It might be found elsewhere, but I know it's also used to hold the air vents into the dash.
They break off very easily. When I did my Burmester tweeter upgrade on my C2S I had 2 break off on the drivers side air vent.
It is plastic welded on, I fixed mine by gorilla gluing it back on and leaving it out overnight.

Hope that helps.

Image I found on the web.

I have a 13 C4S and had to have my vents replaced because those little clips were falling out of my dash...... had the passenger side and center replaced so far under warranty.

If you have the standard vents I don't think they are that much. If painted or leather wrapped you are going to take a hit.

I just looked on e-bay..... center vent is around $200 side vents are around $100. Don't know about new.
