Three Wheelin'
I've got a set of ceramic Posi quiets waiting to be installed when my OEM pads are done. I switched over to gloss black wheels a month ago, and while the dusting is somewhat less noticeable, the gloss finish looks like matte after a very short duration due to the dust.

The Semi Metallic pads are:
Front:
104.16640 991.1 S/4S
and
104.19050 for the 991.2 S/4S (since it has the larger Turbo rotors)
Both .1 and .2 share the same rear pads on the S/4S:
104.14170

Ceramic rotors don't stop the car any faster(your tires stop the car the brakes stop the rotors/wheels)
They cost a small fortune to replace the rotors and if you nick a rotor changing a wheel you have to buy a new one
They don't hold up on the track.
Sure they save a few pounds of unsprung weight except no one but a pro driver is going to take advantage of that.
$8,520 (plus $$$$$ future replacement rotor costs) vs $100 for a set of front and rear Centric Semi Metallic low dust pads
That's 85 sets of replacement front and rear brake pads!
I can't find any reason to love PCCBs. Had them on my '07 GT3 RS and replaced them with PFC Iron Rotors and track pads for less than the cost of a single replacement PCCB rotor! Didn't notice any difference in performance at Lime Rock with the heavier iron rotors either.

^^^ but what no one has done, to the best of my knowledge actually performed the experiment where they drive the same # of track days/miles etc on PCCB's vs non and compared the cost of pad+rotor replacement with each alternative. Pad lifetime is approximately the same, but rotor life is not...

I've never changed the rotors on any daily driven car I've owned more than once so 5 times is probably more than a lifetime for the average Porsche vs miles driven. (We aren't talking track use cars here plus PCCB rotor longevity is WORSE than iron on the track)
Initial cost to add PCCB to the order is still $4000 more after 5 iron rotor changes and should you ever need to replace a PCCB rotor one you are talking $4000 per rotor or $16000 for all 4. And that's internet pricing. Dealership is more like $25,000 (suncoast parts for example is $22,000)
Comparing pads at $100 for all four corners vs $800 for PCCB pads is a another big difference.
Would be a very rare case to see a cost advantage to PCCB. Maybe in the used market where you aren't paying the full price for PCCB but that's hard to calculate and someone ate the initial cost for you in the first place.

So does anyone have a report on how these are holding up? I want to replace the pads on my fairly new 2019 Targa GTS and if ceramic pads are not available I guess I will go with the Centrics; however, I read the 992s are coming with some new pads so maybe it is best to wait?
