Default 991.2 rear seat delete

New member although I've been lurking since I put my deposit on a 991.2 S cabriolet. Had a question regarding rear seat delete... Have any of you seen this available as a special option or am I out of luck? My dealer originally said he had seen it on some cars but supposedly the factory said no go. Certainly not the end of the world although waiting till early june for delivery kinda sucks

thank you

Not an option unless you're buying a GT car.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to on a cab?

what you want is the GT3 rear seat delete, or no rear seats. All you have to do is take everything out and buy the GT3 rear carpet, and you can explore all the different parts that change in the GT3 like C pillar seatbelt trim cover and console differences etc. I converted my 996 and 997 . The 991 seems to have a couple more parts that may need transplanting. But nothing that is impossible. I sold all my seat parts to GT3 guys that WANTED rear seats.

I'm assuming many explore this option to purchase seats for kids.... but how difficult is it to "add" seats safely? This is what kept me out of GT cars.

HOV lanes in the bay area and I won't ever use them.

Huh at Niello they told me they get rear seat delete orders all the time. That was back in the .1 days though.

they told me the same darn thing only to let me know it wasn't possible for whatever reason. I don't feel the sales rep was being disingenuous... maybe porsche changed it up.

this will be a lease to start so don't want to make big changes to the car quite yet

No sure why its important to remove the rear seats on a leased 911.

As mentioned, if you cant stand looking at rear seats, I would suggest you get a 718 S or a GT3.

Because the idiotic government of California insists on increasing congestion by designating some lanes as 3+ passengers unless you only have 2 seats.

you'd understand had you read my post a little more carefully. a gt3 is a bit more than I'd have wanted to spend, I don't like the 718, i asked and was told it was doable on the 911s, I wanted a cab, and I'm leasing so my business can pay for it.

BINGO! it isn't a deal breaker but it would have been nice with the configuration I chose.
