the mods look great, but the S badge is just cringe worthy, even went the extra mile to put it on the doors. You say you don't care, but you care, you want people to think you spent the extra money.

let me tell you the truth

most at of the people just see you bought a Porsche

they dont care care it is a base, an S, a gts or you could have an R and for them it is just a 120K car

so I didnt paint my wheels so the thought I payed the 1,500 option, or painted the mirrors so they thought I payed 250 for that, or payed 150 for the black headlights washer

i did it because I like it, and I share it with the forum, to see some car pictures ones in a while,

but i understand your point and take your advise

It's not about the "S" costing more or whatever, many prefer the base in the .2 so it doesn't even have to be bragging about a more expensive car per say (as I'm sure you could have specced a bare-bones S that was cheaper than your optioned base). I would have the same WTF feeling if you put "Honda Civic" or "Boxster S" or "BMW 325ix" badges on the side. Why would you put badges on that say it's a different car than it is? It makes zero sense.

I am considering a Base C but I want the S brakes. I'm looking to pick up the brakes from Suncoast and have them powder coated black so people don't think I'm a "poser."

I'm actually very happy with the base brakes (performance wise) and the fact that they are black. Colored calipers used to mean something. Now every other car has red calipers.....
