Default First Time 911 Owner

Hello everyone,

Little background on myself I am 25 years old and since I was a little kid always dreamed about owning a high performance car, I was always a bit of a dreamer, you know Ferrari, Lamborghini were always my faves as a kid Porsche as well, back in 1997 when I was 6, the 993 Turbo was one of my favorite cars on the road. Fast forward a bit and my interest shifted back to Lamborghini/Ferrari, till about 2 years ago when I drove my cousin's 997.2 C2S 6MT, I fell in love instantly!

6 months after that, he trades her in for a 997.2 C4S pdk, I was always a non-believer of pdk, and that the only way to ever drive a 911 was to move your own gears, but it was an absolute blast! And those perfect rev matches wiith the PSE in sport was pure bliss.

So about a month ago on Jan 13th, I purchased my first 911, it is a 2012 991 C2S PDK with PSE, PASM, Sport chrono and Bose audio, it had about 20.5k on the clock when I took delivery and today I am just short of 22k on it. As you can see, I am absolutley in love with this car! I purchased it from Porsche Of the South Shore in Freeport, NY, they were an absolutle joy to deal with and would highly recommend them to anyone!!

Enough with my rant, here are some (crappy) pics of my 991

Nice car! Very sharp! I was the same way. Dreaming about ferraris and lamborghinis until I saw my fathers porsche 944 and my first 911 turbo in the mid 80s. Enjoy! Congrats!

They absolutley are, the attention to detail and driving experience that these cars give you is unprecedented, and that sound from that NA 3.8 Flat six, that noise will never get old!

The decals should come to you in the mail. Congratulations on getting your 1st Pcar at such an early age. Good for you. I'm on my 13th so it can be a real obsession. Good luck with the car.

Congrats on the new car - a stunner.

I think if you have the Porsche bug now you will find it hard to shake. In the last 15 years I haven't been able to buy anything but 911's. They are to me the most rounded embodiment of what a sports car should be whilst absolutely being a daily driver. No other car can touch it that way IMHO.

New York checking in here as well. I had a 2011 550i..... drive it 35K miles a year for about here years. Amazing ride. Bounced a bit between bmw and Mercedes and eventually splurged on a 911. Congratulations on the car!
