Drill the hole, maybe you will get it right, maybe you will screw it up, who knows.

You have aftermarket exhaust, so you need to cut the $2000 diffuser to accommodate for that.

Sounds like broken tabs are a given - if you are OK with that on a $2000 mod, fine.

No drama, just facts.
tabs will break. That's a fact, but the bumper will still fit and work as intended.

So, is the diffuser cosmetic or functional?

Surely if functional, the more holes cut into it the less effective it will be as a diffuser, or does it not make any difference

This one is cosmetic.

If you want to see a functional diffuser on a Porsche, see the 911R or the new RSR race car.

By comparison, on a production street car, the Ford GT has a pretty bada$$ and functional diffuser.

I think the diffuser looks great--wonder why Vorsteiner doesn't make it truly 'bolt-on' for the price though?

Congrats on the part, it really complements the white color well

...from one white 991 owner to another

BTW, I am in the PNW as well...this rain sucks!

Thanks for the complements! The snow and the rain last week sucked for sure! Once the weather gets better I'm going to plan a meet and greet for guys in the area.

It looks great. Thanks for taking the time to post your install info. Definitely a mod I will do. Let us know how it wears.

Looks good!!!

I'm awaiting my 2015 C4S delivery and have considered the Vorsteiner rear diffuser as well as the Deck Lid Spoiler.

I came across a few, pardon the pun, "Carbon Copies" by the asian duplicators.

They seem to be almost exact replicas at much cheaper cost. I know you get what you pay for but I'm just curious if anyone has ever used, received reviews, or seen the quality of these knock-offs in person.

The prices are incredible compared to Vorsteiner but I have noticed that one sight actually uses the Vorsteiner Pictures from Vorsteiners sight.

Heres a link to one of the "Carbon Copies"(if the link doesn't work check EBay)

I just ordered the Vorsteiner. They are on their 3rd or 4th version after having issues of heat and wear. From what I have learned they have kept improving the product through venting and heat shielding which I don't believe you will find on the Ebay versions. I also think it is the best looking diffuser out there for our cars. Be very careful of some low price vendors.
I should have mine this week.

Are people putting these in without also installing the front carbon lip? If so, how does that look?

I feel like for the look to be complete some consideration needs to be given to the front of the car also.

I recently installed th SPASM lip, and opted for the OEM over the carbon ones I've seen around. I'm glad I did as the lip does scrape the bottom on occasion, and I feel the carbon would fray and look pretty bad over time.

However, that carbon SPASM replica could match pretty well with this diffuser. I'm not a fan of the vorsteiner front lip, but would love to see someone pair this with the carbon spasm lip.
