I am wondering about changing the oil with the diffuser on. When I change my oil, the flow usually splatters out and often not a direct flow until after a second or two. So, how will you keep oil from entering the top of the diffuser and remaining there.

I don't think I'll be changing the oil myself, to be honest. Will let the dealership figure it out. Come to think of it, where is the oil filter located? Can it be accessed without removing the diffuser now?

With this diffuser, if a hole is not cut, you will have to remove it which means tabs will probably be breaking off regularly. In a normal scanario with OEM setup, all you have to do is remove the fan and it is on the passenger side just below. The oil change process is literally a 15 minute job for $75 if you DIY. This diffuser without the hole cut turns it into a 2 hr job (with risks).

If a hole is not cut you really just end up having to take off the entire bumper, otherwise, as you said tabs will be breaking. Dealer charges an extra couple hundred dollars to remove the bumper.
I found the oil filter location by simply googling it. Lol. Easy to get to under the fan.

Man o man! Broken tabs, drilled holes, extra cutting to accommodate after market exhaust, taking off bumper to change oil, etc. Seems like a helluva lot of extra work involved for a $2000 or so mod and a real pain every year just to change the oil with this thing on.

Mmmmm, looks awesome, but no thanks.

Sounds like cutting a hole just fixes the oil drain problem. Why all the drama.?

Feel free to do as you please, your money.

Drill the hole, maybe you will get it right, maybe you will screw it up, who knows.

You have aftermarket exhaust, so you need to cut the $2000 diffuser to accommodate for that.

Sounds like broken tabs are a given - if you are OK with that on a $2000 mod, fine.

No drama, just facts.

I've thought about this mod. Are you going to add carbon fiber accents or peices anywhere else? My thoughts were the rear diffuser looks awesome but perhaps not a great stand alone piece. Thought about some side skirts and a front OEM SPAM lip in CF would be a great package. Mirrors also.

No idea what your skill level is, but hope all turns out fine for you, especially for that coin.

No drama, just asked a simple question. Apparently your skill level is so great, that it is beneath you to share it and answer the question I posed.

My answer wasn't directed to you. I happen to really love the piece and think the work that was done to install was great. I'm interested because I do want this piece. My comment on drama was based on some responses that it was too much work to fit the piece. This is not unusual on some mods. I never said I was a master tech. My sarcasm was not directed to you. If you read it you would know that.

I think cutting the hole is the best and easiest solution so you don't have to remove with every oil change but it will have to come off for other work. I have an aftermarket exhaust so I know I'll have some adjusting to fit it. That is necessary if the mod important to you it's not a hardship . I happen to like this mod.
