Default Should I trade in my .1GT3 for a .2GTS?

Hi,

I've had my 2015 Signal Green GT3 for almost two years. I don't drive it often and only put ~3000mi on the clock. I dd my Macan S which is fun but not as fun as a 911. So when the .2gts was released, I was thinking if I should replace my GT3 with a newer GTS.

Pros:
1. I can daily drive GTS and have fun every day not just weekends. The GT3 is a little bit too extreme and the color is not good for daily driving.
2. GTS has rear seats, so I can take my dog on road trips. Road trip with Macan is boring.
3. I never tracked my GT3. I test drove a manual 991.2s yesterday, I feel like it is a better car for me, if I only drive it on road.

Cons:
1. The depreciation on GTS. GT3 holds its value much better than GTS.
2. 9K rpm NA engine is epic. The GTS, ...well, it is turbo charged.
3. I really love the color. I smile every time when I see my car, in garage.

Not list all pros and cons. Guys, what do you think. I need you help.

FWIW. Keep the GT3. A unique car and color! Drive it more

Short answer is yes. Trade it in.

Life is too short for a trophy car that sits in the garage. Who cares about depreciation - get a car that fits your life and that you will actually drive.

I'd probably trade it in. GT3s are optimized for the track and if you're not tracking it or driving it much, what's the point? Make sure you'll drive the GTS before you buy it though. My guess is the 991.1 GTS values will go down when the 991.2 GTS comes out...so probably better to move quickly.

Cheers,
NF

No. There is one sitting in the show room. But I test drove the .2s, it is beyond my expectation actually.

If you love the creature comforts AND the high revving engine then you owe it to yourself to consider it.

Im with RK - Trade it for the GTS. Life is short. You will get many more smiles per $$ driving the GTS all the time, than the occasional special event with the GT3. Especially given that you don't track it ..............

I didn't daily drive my GT 3, but I wish that I had.
My advice:
1) Daily drive your GT 3. That color is great!
2) Go to the track- just a little bit!

Absolutely not. You already have the Macan for boring dd. For the weekend, you need something special like the gt3 with the color that you love & 9k NA & godly sound. Just because you don't track it, it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.

it already sounds like you want a car you can drive more and will deliver more practicality... so I say get the GTS. The exclusivity factor will be there too. Not at a GT3 level, but the tradeoff will still be worth it IMO.

Keep the GT3 and replace the macan with something more fun like an M3.

Once you get the itch to move on, it is inevitable.

3000 miles in 2 years is basically not driving it, particularly given that the majority of those miles probably happened early in ownership. If OP has not been driving it so far, that's not likely to change.

It's no fun to feel obligated to drive something to justify ownership. Been there, done that.

Depending on your roads and lifestyle and interests, GT cars aren't always a good fit. Porsche makes a 911 for every type.
