Should I trade in my .1GT3 for a .2GTS?

Three Wheelin'
In the original Star Trek series Spock tells the guy who wants (and gets) his wife: There is often more in wanting than in having, it is not logical, but often true. Every time I let go of something I originally was hot to have I always think of that line in Star Trek.

For those saying 'keep it and DD it and track it more' - 2k miles in 2 years says it all. Hes demonstrated his habits and habits are hard to break.
Sell it/trade it and get in a gts .1 or .2, whatever floats your fancy, as long as you drive it.
Porsches are meant to be driven!

Drifting
Hi,
I've had my 2015 Signal Green GT3 for almost two years. I don't drive it often and only put ~3000mi on the clock. I dd my Macan S which is fun but not as fun as a 911. So when the .2gts was released, I was thinking if I should replace my GT3 with a newer GTS.
Pros:
1. I can daily drive GTS and have fun every day not just weekends. The GT3 is a little bit too extreme and the color is not good for daily driving.
2. GTS has rear seats, so I can take my dog on road trips. Road trip with Macan is boring.
3. I never tracked my GT3. I test drove a manual 991.2s yesterday, I feel like it is a better car for me, if I only drive it on road.
Cons:
1. The depreciation on GTS. GT3 holds its value much better than GTS.
2. 9K rpm NA engine is epic. The GTS, ...well, it is turbo charged.
3. I really love the color. I smile every time when I see my car, in garage.
Not list all pros and cons. Guys, what do you think. I need you help.

I voted with my wallet - ditched the "2-car" strategy when I sold my 997 Gt3 for a more fun street car. I've never looked back on that approach.
While I love the idea and the 'halo' of the Gt3, the 'compromise ratio' was off for me - most of my fun driving was street where the car was too stiff and it's capabilities too high. On the track it was fun/fast, but prepared track cars were still faster and more focused.
New GTS or even a 991.1 would be more fun for your use case I bet.

again - you need to drive a .1 GTS. not as new. Nobody outside of a small community knows an older Porsche from a new one anyway and you get the revving 3.8 experience in a more street friendly car. .2 willbe faster but not have the engine feel you stated loving.

I had a small interest in possibly getting a new GTS instead of a GT3, but watching all of the recent tests/reviews of the new car cured me of it. The way the new car makes its power down low bores me to death. The car doesn't sound alive at all, no fury and no scream. Regardless of how fast the car is going or how well it drives, that alone kills it for me. Listening to that car drone/fart past the camera over and over again is like a long slow root canal to me.

Funny, I came across this video last night from Money2536 (member here) from Obsessed Garage pondering the exact same question.

The GTS values second hand are actually REALLY strong...so that's not as much of an issue in this case IMHO. I just opted to spec a GTS vs doing any other GT car of my choosing for the general usability reasons you mentioned and then the fact that I just have a thing for the normal 911s without too much of the GT hype, maybe its PTSD from all the GT3/RS/R bit, but they really made an insanely awesome combo with the GTS.
