Great info, will definitely look into this when it comes time to make a choice (and the bank account refills
)
I know a guy who knows a guy in Germany
Anything through a US dealer is going to be in the price range you quoted. Unfortunately the aftermarket PCCB market is non-existent but if anyone out there has a .1S with factory PCCB that wants to switch to steelies, send me a pm. I'm not in a rush ![thumbsup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bigok.gif)

Not as cheap as you're talking about, but Racing Brake offers a PCCB solution for 15k; or, if you don't really need the light weight as much as you want the wicked big rotors, you could go with their appx $2500 GT3-sized steel BBK, which looks YUGE; you could even paint the calipers yellow if you wanted.

Another option I didn't go with are to swap my 14-way heated/ventilated seats for the 4-way sport seats. From what I've read that would probably save close to 50 lbs total but since it's a daily I like my heating and ventilation

Years ago I did something similar with a 911, so I sympathize. It's fun while you're doing it, but I ended up with regrets. You dump an awful lot of time and money into a car that will never be worth anywhere near what you have in it. It's hard to sell because the vast majority of the market doesn't want a modified car. And in the end it's still just a regular 911.

A stock GT3 would be about the same price, deliver better performance and have much higher resale value when you are ready to move on to something else.

Yeah, buy a 991.2 GT3 in 2018 with some miles on it, and take the wing off.

Appreciate the thoughts guys, one of the reasons why I appreciate this community. Didn't realize .1 GT3s were hitting the low 120s. Might tailor the scope of my mods above w an eye on the market. But for now Akra on Tuesday!

Personally, I'd still go GT3 because the cars are so different than the standard 991, but I get why he wants to mod his car also. Key OP, and I'm sure you've considered this, is that you should expect to get almost no return on the money invested in mods if/when you go to sell your car.

They're not. Search for 15/16 GT3s on Autotrader or Cars.com and you'll find the range for decent cars is much higher than that. If they were in the $120s, I'd already have one in my garage.

I know three people with GT3s. Out of those three cars, they have had a total of FOUR engine replacements. Granted all four times Porsche covered it under warranty but still. If I was in the market for a GT3 this would be enough to at the very least make me wait a couple of years.
I have modified a bunch of vehicles from dirt bikes to street bikes to 4X4s to street cars. I never got my money out of them but that was not the point. I had fun doing it and enjoyed the fact that they were a bit different and just the way I wanted them.
I see a TON of modified Porsches at every C&C I go to and it seems like all the owners really enjoy their cars.
Mod on and post pics.
