Launch control and an additional clock that look rad.
In other words - stuff to talk about online from our couches that we never use. But that clock does look neat and when I see a 911 without one it looks like a void.
991.1 doesn't have the Sport/Sport+ on the steering wheel
True, it is still two buttons on the center aft console. But pretty much same functions minus the 20 second "boost". I would not buy a PDK w/o SC. A manual, yes, but not a PDK.

Yessir - same functionality sans boost. I'm not sure if it is literal boost from turbos or increased throttle response - or a combination of both.
Either way a street racer's delight... well - to be fair, passing on a straightaway if need for a little extra oomph in competition.
I have a 997.1 6MT - since I have an older car, can someone educate me regarding sport chrono and PDK?
Is Sport chrono a useful option with PDK? I have it with my current 997.1 and it is useless.
Is rev-matching (991.1) part of sport chrono?
Thanks in advance.
All of the other answers here are good, but I'd like to point out that even on a MT car it isn't useless if you do any driving at the edge. In Sport modes the Sport Chrono on both the 997 and 991 models also relaxes the electronic nannies so that when you do slip/slide the car a bit the computer doesn't intervene nearly as quickly. Nothing deflates a great maneuver at the edge quite as much as having the ECU kill the power for a moment.
I'll also confirm that you should never get a 997 or 991 PDK without Sport Chrono due to the differences in both shift points and clutch engagement behavior.
