Use a strong automotive grade double sided tape.

I have the RennLine Grills and used zip ties to attach it to the grill. Has held up with no issues at high speeds and no overheating. What I did was to buy a license frame to pass the zip ties through and also protect the paint. BTW I have clear bra so not worried about scratching paint, but did put some rubber bumpers on the back of license frame for added protection.

Trust me, you’ll be happier when you ditch the ugly dealer advert plate holder. I’m really happy with the no-words brushed one from suncoast:

This.

3M Automotive Trim tape. Have installed the front plate on my Cayenne using this tape 4 years ago, and it hasn't moved or come loose at all. Best part is, you can place it anywhere on the bumper, line it up however you want, and it conforms to the curve of the bumper.

I've also seen it where someone taped a plate frame onto the plate as well.

Thanks - I thought I could easily remove it but it turns out it is etched into the glass cover. I've just been too lazy to get a new one - however this one's on sale (!!) and my sticker's due to be replaced

Thumbs up from me for the Skene Design bracket. I thought it looked too flimsy to securely mount the plate but it really holds. I had to take it off my last car because it was in an accident where I knew the body shop had to remove the bumper. I had to give it a few good tugs (after removing the screws) to get it off.

See my post and link to my bracket above.

Looks very nice. That's the way I'll go when the long arm of the law catches up to me.

I had my plate folded and inserted into the dummy center grill on my .2 GTS. It’s actually drilled into the bottom of the bumper so the holes will never be visible. I️ had a tow hook mount on my .1 GTS (didn’t want to block the functional center radiator) but I️ tired of the off-center look. So far, no issues with this setup.

Isn't that illegal as you are altering the plate? Also, parts of the plate are not visible (ie the state).

Haven’t had an issue yet, knock wood. My dealer said he has done several plates that way without report of any problems. Regardless, if I️ do get hassled I️ can easily remove the plate and figure out another mounting solution. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the ideas on this, I like the centered and hidden Skene bracket approach.

Looking at the ordering on Skene's web site... is asks for selection of Euro or US... Presumably that is to accommodate the different size/shape of license plates, and that's it, right???

Yes... it was a little tricky getting the holes drilled in the right place.. had to lift the car a little for the angle but it is in and secure and looks good..

So for the Skene the medium size is the way to go on a 991.2 based on member experience ?
I will order one anyway. Thx all for the informative posts.
