They look good. But the engine is smoother after and no hiccups at 3200rpm. $100 for labor, not bad

I find that intriguing... not that I doubt you, anything's possible and you'd know your car best.. But I once had a boxster CEL because of one plug misfiring like a few miliseconds or some ridiculously low amout of time and it was logged and reported.... So if the plug was bad the ECU would know... Maybe lazier spark ? I'd be curious to hear from other if a plug change also helped the 3200 rpm vibe... My car has 15K only so it seems a little early for plugs...

This isn't true unless you had defective plugs. Beware the placebo effect.

Its not placebo

Think about it 35K miles on a set of spark plugs will have some wear on it no matter what.

Why would Porsche say 40K change

Was it needed? Probably not

Do I feel the car is SLIGHTLY better after, YES. Less vibration in idle too.

Is it worth couple <$200 every 35K to change them, absolutely (NOT DEALER PRICES)

Well, so do plugs with 500 miles on them. The question is, does that wear affect the car's performance. I changed my plugs and air filters at 40K and noticed zero detectable change in performance. Your plugs look the same as mine did, in perfect working condition.

Last time I asked, the tech said they change them at 40K mostly to prevent them from sticking to the case. Plugs themselves can do much more... But hey, even if it's placebo, it was a cheap job and a happy owner, no harm done ! I need to do this myself based on time, not mileage (only 15K but 4 years old). I hope to do it myself...

I just replaced mine myself and found that I had to remove the brackets holding the side mufflers in place in order to make some extra room for the rearmost plugs. I also removed the bracket holding some kind of leveling sensor to get to the forward plug on the driver's side.

None of that is necessary. Just get a universal joint and a few extensions.

Agree. I just felt it made it easier to see what I was doing and it was only one bolt for the sensor bracket and three nuts for each exhaust bracket.

Speaking of plugs.

I love how they sell 2 plugs. Both the same model number but one probably comes in a Porsche box.

$7 vs $20 each.
