Same with Sport Chrono. Cars without it are a harder sell.

Make for a tougher sale

Base stereo
4 way seats
No Sport Chrono
No sunroof
Blue interior

For what it's worth. I've seen lots of used cars. Later!
This is exactly what my dealer is telling me. Cars without sunroofs sit on the lot. They sell in the end, but at a discount. If that doesn't bother you and you don't mind the decreased trade value, then skip the sunroof. My colour choice is white and I don't like the look of the roof with black glass so I'm opting for a solid roof. Dealer says that most cars they are sells my have a glass roof but as long as I'm getting one or the other, it will help at trade time.

Mine will be hard to re-sale: manual, no sunroof, 4 way seats, lava orange

First car that I actually specced and I only got the options I wanted. I never use sunroofs and I love how the roof is one big sheet of metal without it. However, I would agree that most people desire a sunroof.

PDK, no sunroof, 4 way seats here too....although I went with graphite blue. I'd buy your car in a second.

No sunroof on my order, it's a lease so I do not care about resale. I have a sunroof now and have never opened it.

IMO the steel sunroof looks better than the glass and I don't like overhead light getting in the cabin, but I love the tilt feature to quell buffeting and hear the exhaust when the windows are up. Another plus is the lack of squeaks and rattles.

I have two friends looking for used GTSs. Like mine they want PDK, SRD and 4ways.

If you're worried about resale without a sunroof, just split the difference and get the standard metal one. Saves weight and money over the glass.

If you go crazy over minor squeaks and rattles, the fixed roof is the only way to go. In that case, the 911 may not be the best car for you anyway though.

Agreed, and that describes me. I wanted it, and I use it. But on the other hand, I don't believe it will make that big of a difference in the long run. Ultimately the lack of sunroof may be a desirable trait with enough buyers to make up for the "regular Joes" who pass based upon that criteria. OP should get what he wants.

I would pay more for a Porsche without a sunroof. 4 ways too. I consider lighter weight to be a much more enjoyable feature.

Even if the sunroof has more resale value, it's not as much as the original cost to add the sunroof. Just get what you like and not what you think the next owner might like.

My car will be jet black metallic, so the looks are about the same. I'd just as soon save the 2 grand, but will it make enough difference on eventual resale that not putting it in my build is a false economy?
Although many have already chimed in with the minimal difference it might make when trading it in or selling it, I personally wouldn't worry about resale. With black, the glass sunroof completely blends in, externally.

I have a glass sunroof in a black 991S and with nearly 16k miles, zero squeaks or rattles. Love the sunshade, too. With the the sunshade open, lets a lot of light into the car. On nice days (heck when it hit the 60s last week and I opened it up!), it is really nice to open it up, listen to the PSE, and enjoy the drive.

It's a black car...except for the opening lines, it will blend right in.
