Burmester systems- Porsche vs Mercedes

I am also a bit of an audiophile. All audio systems are only ever as good as what you feed into them, and in the case of Porsche we are restricted to feeding the speakers low quality compressed files (unless you are taking original CDs around with you).
In which case, you can upgrade all you like but its all a bit pointless. Anyway, PSE gives me all the music I want to hear when I am in the 911.

Tried but didn't work; anything 24bit, DSD, anything at 16bit beyond 44K (like 192K and 96k), and spinning HD (like 1 TB). For reference I have the Bose system.
Somewhere there is a thread where I documented all of this.

not sure about your tech questions but I have Burmester in an S550 and it is the best system I have ever heard, some of that due to the quietness of the car I am sure. I can hardly listen to the Bose system in the 911 it is so poor in comparison.

The usual $1000 upgrade to a Bose or a Harman Kardon has been replaced with a meh Burmester in 2015+ new Mercedes models.
You can still upgrade to a real Burmester for $5000-$7000.
