Question Good insurance bay area

Hi, soliciting input for a good insurance rep in the bay area for a new 991.2. I commute back and forth between here and Europe and have not had a local car incurred for about 10 years (I use a company owned car). I had cars here before and have had a CA license for 20+ years.

BTW what would be a typical yearly cost for a base 991.2 ?

Appreciate the help.

I use Liberty Mutual and they are excellent. Insurance rates depend on age, driving record, mileage driven etc. I pay about $900 a year but don't put a lot of miles on my car 2012.5 Porsche 991.

If you are in any way associated with the military or someone in your family (father, son, daughter, mom, etc.) is associated therewith, then give USAA a call. Cannot be beat.

I use Steve Steve Stepanian (an agent in L.A stepcoins insurance) and Mercury, he is a fellow Rennlister and will get you some great rates

you might also check with GEICO since they in theory also can provide auto insurance overseas ... (as does USAA)

I've used GEICO for years and they've been great. Only complaint is that, over the last few years, every time I've made a change they've tried to sneak in charges for crap I didn't want like service warranties, towing, etc. It seems their culture changed a few years ago to be more like Wells Fargo...

Great with claims though. Drunk driver took me out and totaled a nearly new car of mine years back and they wrote me a check for it, taxes and all, within a week.

That's crazy good... I have zero tickets, accidents, all discounts and I pay 50% more than you on a 991.1 !!! Might be mileage. I checked a couple big name insurances. Damn... mine's about $1200/year, ironically it's only $50 more than my old commuter mini cooper S!!! go figure! Thank goodness all my other toys are under classic coverage.

Things like; no school, no work, and less than 7,500 miles per year, offer big reductions, too. That's how I have mine set-up with State Farm.

Makes sense. But if I had those restrictions I'd never drive it ;-( Week ends are basically the time for classics to be driven (or rot). I'll just pay up and keep enjoying it....
