Has anyone installed a mirror from this company (http://www.radar-mirror.com/) into a 991.2 (bonus points if it was a cab)? I'm wondering how it looks, are there visible wires, does it match the OEM mirror? Any thoughts appreciated.
I have one in my 991.1. Perfect match in that it IS an OEM Porsche mirror that has modified glass and electronics. My installer sent my OEM mirror to them and they sent it back with the mods. There are no visible wires or anything that looks different from stock, except of course the display.
I have to say after living with it, and while it is "cool," I don't really find it that useful with my Escort 9500i, since it displays no more info than on the little remote display that comes with the unit (which on my car is hidden away, so I guess it's useful in that I don't have to dig to look at it). It's not like it has directional arrows like on Valentine units.
Particularly on a cab, but even on a coupe, get the red LEDs. The blue LED option tends to be invisible during daylight. Also, when looking at the mirror at night, red traffic lights behind you are reflected and if positioned to be combined with the blue LEDs, can make it look like a police cruiser is back there. I got blue because my car is blue, but if I had a do-over, it would be with red.

That's very helpful. Thanks for taking the time. Have you had any issues with glare in the mirror during the day?
Have one in my 991.2 Cab, however it is parked for the winter now. It does have Red leds and it is easy to read in the daytime. No visible wires, looks very OEM to me. Part of an Escort 9500 install by the dealer.
