Just got my 2016 C4S detailed and ceramic coated
I live in Cleveland, OH and this car is my DD so I wanted to get a ceramic coating to keep the paint and body looking good for years to come. I found this shop about 50 miles south of me in Canton, OH. Chuck owns G3 Custom Detailing and I can't say enough good things. He is extremely knowledgeable, explaining every step of the job and completed the detail in only a day and a half. Chuck carried out multiple stages of paint correction to remove the swirls and scratches and bring out the true gloss.
The paint was ceramic coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Black. Ultimate gloss and protection with a 7 year guarantee. The black trim was protected. The wheels coated with Gtechniq Exo V3.
LOVE IT

Your car looks amazing ... I love the red with the black wheels
Can someone please tell me what part of the car that is in picture #7 ... i thought it was the headlight washer but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong and it's driving me crazy .... TIA

Lovely job ! - I learned the hard way, 2017 C4s Black, it got so bad looking, had it cut and polished and wrapped the whole car. Not a issue going forward. Your car looks brilliant.

Thank you everyone. You're right picture 7 is the headlight washer.
I had the entire front end (fender, bumper, hood, up to the mirrors) Xpel wrapped when I picked my car up in August. Sadly, I was T-boned one week later and had some repairs done (just the right front side was impacted - headlight, right front wheel, hood, right front fender and radiator replaced with all new OEM parts, and repainted by the body shop). Luckily no structural damage to the frame or subframe. I was told by Porsche dealer not to replace XPEL until 90 days after re-paint. Now that the paint is corrected and coated I do plan on re-doing the Xpel on the front end of the car as I do drive my car year round.
As far as the cost... the paint correction ranges from $200-$1000+, for me it was $500. The ceramic coating serum has several options ranging from $50-$800.
My otherwise new car required 2 step paint correction (~$400) and I opted for the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Black ($800). It carries a 7 year guarantee. Chuck (owner of the detail shop) said if anything comes up (bird ****/tar/bugs) that I cannot remove myself, I can bring it in and he will take care of it (covered by Gtechniq). I also get a touch-up yearly for a small fee, about $50. The pictures look great, but it looks even better in person, Chuck at G3 detailing did a phenomenal job.
This is the first of my three 991's that I've had this done on, and I think it looks amazing. Thank you for the compliments guys.
