40k service at only 25k miles?
Looking for advice whether or not I need to complete the rest of the 40k service, even though my car only has 25k miles. It's a 991 from 2013. It's already been four years, and the dealer is telling me that I need to do the plugs and air filters. I've already done the oil, and the brake fluid flush. I just want to make sure that I keep to all services so I don't have any warranty issues, but I feel like the plugs are a mileage issue, along with he filters. They don't expire with time. Just feel as if the dealer is trying to squeeze more money from me. Thanks in advance! Just want what's best for my baby.

I agree with your dealership. Plugs for sure. I'd be ok with waiting another 15k miles on the engine filters if your trying to save a few bucks. You'll get 15 opinions here. Good luck.

Time OR Mileage. Whatever comes first.
That's the factory recommended schedule which I agree with.
Plugs can be prone to seizing with time. Filters? Why not. They age too. Easy when bumper is off.
Others do as they wish.

I guess if I'm doing plugs....filters will be fine since she will be up on the lift already. Thanks for the quick replies.....just wanted to make sure dealer wasn't being cheeky with me.

No, you do not need to do this service. Absolutely not. Plugs and filters wear with use, not time. And no, plugs do not seize on three year old cars. The dealer wants your money. Give it to them at 40K.

If it's CPO than do it to maintain the warranty. Otherwise it's probably not necessary. In fact I had my Mercedes Benz serviced in like fashion and the tech broke one of the coil packs while servicing the plugs. The service light came on two weeks later. It was clear that he broke the connector off while pulling it out . Good luck challenging that. I fixed it on my own.
