If the 991.2 GT3's production is a two plus years run like the .1, one will eventually get the car at MSRP.

But if it's only a one year run like the GT3RS, just getting a car will be challenge.

A few of the dealer here at California wont't even take deposit, they want to sell the car at the market price when they have an allocation. And a few out-of-state dealer I've contacted already have a big waiting list and won't take in another one.

I got an allocation through PCNA. I've had a $10K deposit on hold for 9 months. Doubt you'll be able to get one unless you find a dealer where the buyer backed out, as others have stated.

I suggest y'all spend your time on the thread that concerns this on the actual GT3 and RS forum, not the regular 911 forum.

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...s-tank-13.html

But in essence, there is a limited supply of GT3s, the GT3s/RSs are a fantastic visceral experience not duplicated by regular 911s, and they are fantastic on the track, and still fun on the street, and can even be daily driven if desired.

Porsche limits the supply of GT3s and RSs and only produces them in a limited window. The combination of desirability and low supply keeps the prices high, but even when the prices drop, they drop slowly. Again this one of the great benefits of buying a GT3 or RS. So if you want one, just go ahead and buy one of the used 991.1 GT3s you like.
As you are new to the game, you won't be able to get a new GT3 ordered to your specifications at MSRP, likely for a full two years, winter of 2018.
