Default Sold my car and replaced it (scale model content)

So, I decided about 2 months ago to put my car up for sale, it sold honestly much quicker than I anticipated. I loved it, very custom build but I just did not drive it enough and it was time to think about something I wouldn't mind putting snow tires on and driving in the winter. I know btw that my car would have been very capable in the snow but just didn't want to or really need to do it. I decided to replicate it in a scale model version to help preserve the memory. I found a guy who customizes scale models after reading a small blurb in a car magazine about him. I needed to purchase two separate cars to obtain the correct body/wheel configuration and gave the leftover model to none other than STG. (hope he does the same thing btw). So here it is both the real one and it's modest doppelganger. I really like the way it turned out although it was difficult to replicate the silver window trim. certainly takes up less space in the garage.

The models are from GT Spirit, they are not a die cast but a resin. They have quite a few Porsche models. Not 100% sure yet on a replacement but have a deposit on a 2018 BMW M2 CS that is rumored to be coming out or the normal version. I also like the Audi TT-RS if only for the 5 cylinder sound that it's going to have. (And it's supposed to be a stellar performer)
Then thinking about the next gen 911

Looks great Wow!! You need to give guys more details how much work this guy puts into his projects.

Taking apart the model and custom paint jobs, etc.

What's the link/info on this guy again?

Interested to see what it takes to get a copy of your own car (or for me, my car).

Yes, me also, but it went to a good home and the new owner will really enjoy it. Now I get to think about and look for what I would like next which is always fun.

So the fellow that did the work is named John Fox. He has a business called Your Car in Diecast. http://yourcarindiecast.com/ Essentially he can recreate whatever you would like including any custom accessories, wheels, license plates, etc. My car started out brown like the launch model for the 4S. He takes it completely apart, does body work if needed (mine did for the original front plate mount and some other things) and then paints it with the actual paint but there is a process to reduce the size of the metal flake somehow to make it the correct scale size. He can also paint and customize the interior, I was lucky in that mine was the correct Espresso color. It took a while but I am happy I have it. The cost is based on the number of custom options and of course the price of the original model(s).

I would highly recommend him if you are thinking of potentially doing this. He was very good to work with and clear on pricing and expectations.

Here is a picture while in process.
