Owning a GTS is an aesthetic decision (wider rear fenders), not a performance one.
OP asked for opinions in this thread. He could have told me to sod off, but he didn't. Owning a GTS is whatever decision the buyer wants to make it depending on whatever they feel. I feel like a C2S is a little more daily friendly than the GTS. I own a GTS and drive it every day. This is why PAG makes so many 911s. So everyone can pick whatever one they want based on whatever criteria they want. I've owned a GTS, TTS, and GT3RS and I like the TTS better. Why? lots of reasons but they're all valid to me. Doesn't lessen the other models. Just my preference.

Now to help you understand, Porsche doesn;t have the lightest car, or the most HP, or the most comfortable seats, or the most luxury options. Its the exact mix of all the individual pieces that forms the perfect car to me. And thats true of each model. Every model has it's own feel. To me the C2S feels a little easier to drive day in and day out (991.1) than the GTS (991.1 and 997). Btw i bought the 997 GTS a couple years ago when i had a choice. Because i wanted a little more umphh. Not for the look.

OP do whatever you want to, listen to whatever options you like and ignore the ones you don't. Buy the car that you want for the reasons you want.

If you have the opportunity to drive an S and a GTS back to back you will feel the difference in power easily. In S+ the kick in the butt when it shifts is noticably harder. Porsche re-mapped the PDK and you can feel the even faster shifting. There there is the sound, Porsche spent a lot of time getting the sound right on the GTS and it is just amazing.
Agreed the S is a better daily driver, my front spoiler (AeroCup) is always on my mind, it is ok with 70% of the driveway entrances where I live.

After reading this thread I almost feel foolish for buying a C2S...the GTS sounds pretty sweet. If I am to be honest though I was steered away by the cosmetic updates: I completely understand their appeal to many but only the wide body interested me (and on th 991 I find it subtle). Not a fan of the black accents on the headlights, bumper, badges, etc. Guess I shouldn't have judged the book by its cover.

First they are both Carrera's if I am not mistaken...and I said for ME, in this case being the "different people". If I could only have one 911, it would be a Turbo S. BUT as you can see, I do not have 1...so I will let each of them provide their unique qualities.

A Turbo is not a Carrera.

911s consist of GT cars, Turbos, and Carreras.
