This was after my first track day in the 991 (but not my first track day), on P-Zero street tires. Never had a car with this g-meter gizmo before. Cool item.
And wow -- this is impressive grip for street tires. My car is an S w/ SPASM and PDDC, running 245/295's.
Indeed a great feature. As I also have SPASM wand PDCC; may I ask you about your camber and toe settings for a mixed use street/ track. I don't track my car but I'd like a bit more steering feel and a bit less understeer. (My car is a 4 WD)
The highest lateral grip (g-force) I have been able to get is 1.51. Can't remember the brake force, but it was impressively high with standard GTS brakes and P-Zero(N0) 245/305 OEM tires. The 1.51 lateral was at Watkins Glen on the brand new track surface, which is nicely sticky. The camber in some of the turns is what allowed this high level for me. Since then I have added the DSC and adjustable sway bars, as well as moving front camber to max negative (I think -1.17) for the standard 991 suspension. My car has PASM, not SPASM. Of course, I do not have PDDC, or I could not have added the adjustable anti-sway bars. The 1.64 Subshooter posted is amazing!

Ha! I wish I could take credit for that one, but this was another guy. It was also in a 981, not a 911. Slicks on a track. Also probably in a spin - I don't recall. I just saved the pic because it was awesome.
Why are most of the right hand turns, with the exception of Jay's, the higher g-force? Mine too. Right handed people (I'm a south paw)? Vision to our right accross the dash/hood better?

Southpaw here too, but I suspect (at least in my case) it's because the track had twice the number of right turns than left. So just greater odds that the highest G reading would be for a right turn.
PS -- Karl, where'd that big 1.19 acceleration number come from? Launch mode?
Most tracks run clockwise which results in more turns to the right. This increases the probability that the highest g corner(s) will be in that direction.
