XPEL & Ceramic Pro Review
#16
I have EXPEL, nothing more, just wash, no wax, it's just a plastic film, looks great.
My 2013 981B has Expel, same after 3+ years.
Why coat or wax a plastic film designed to be replaced?-Richard

Reason to wrap with xpel is that it prevents rock chips etc. But on top of the xpel you still have to wax the car and detail it etc. But by adding ceramic pro, the car will always have that freshly detailed look. Theoretically it will have additional scratch resistance because ceramic pro touts that as well but the xpel covers scratch resistance anyway. Reason to do xpel instead of just ceramic pro is because ceramic pro won't prevent rock chips while driving
So combining both prevents against rock chips, uv damage, tree sap, droppings, scratches, brake dust, and doesn't need to be waxed or polished

JAM2, your car looks amazing. Love that blue!

That picture above is a perfect example of the pros and cons of wrapping, depending upon your perspective. It's obvious that the car is wrapped, given the extreme depth/gloss/reflective appearance of the paint. Some love that look, some don't.

I agree with you, some colors are more prone to that plasticky look.

Thanks. I like the depth in the paint.
The entire car is not wrapped, and the depth is primarily with the Ceramic Pro.
