New owner - 13 stripper ;-)
Alright, the deed is done... I have 4 more days to return the car if it fails the ECU overrev check, but I'm terrified of the thought, as I really do not want to return it !!! (I almost would prefer not to know ;-)
It's a base 2013, came with 12K miles only, lease car (which is good, maintenance wise). Stick aka 7MT !! Originally I was in the market for an "analog" 997.2 (base or S) but after driving several with seriously overinflated price, I settled for the "inferior" (if you believe some journos) 991. I actually find the 991 to be superior in every way - room, less road noise, more stability, better exhaust note, sharper turn-in etc... Less feel at the wheel? I'm not noticing.... The one thing I'm less fond of is the 7th gear - I can totally see how you'd downshift from 7 into 4 for instance - the shift indicator takes 2 seconds before it pops a number on the gauge ! But advised here I'm never using 7th anyway except super rare cruising occasions and will pass by neutral when I do !
Only thing I do not have is the manuals, which actually sucks because of all the doo-dads (love that navigation screen on the gauge, so James bond) but Carmax is buying me a set... So yeah, stripper, but I like low options cars, less stuff to go bad... Not even sure what's an option and what standard... Sports mode is there, that's all I wanted with PSE but turns out I'm happy with how it sounds out of the box ! Autostart seems off by default but restarts right awau when you accidentally stall the car (the one time in reverse, new to me, have mercy). I was going to explore GT4 shifter but I can live with the shifting, the only thing really annoying to me is the parking brake whose operation seems reversed in my head, and does not always release when you go.... Not sure what the deal is... need an owner's manual ! I'm planning on a duck for it, but no rush....
Here's a couple shots, fitting in my driveway next to the ol' 2002 and at the warehouse next to my 1972 T ! (I'm into base 911s, what can I say)

Great pickup! You will get used to the box. A few weeks in and I don't make mistakes any longer.

Congratulations! Looks like a great addition to your growing collection. I think you should reconsider and get the GT4 shifter. It's fantastic! I love it on my 991. It's hard for me to imagine it not there now. Enjoy!

Took me 30 minutes (and eventually the app) to figure out how to store radio stations, PCM is not intuitive ;-) Now I need to figure out how to change the time on the clock - also not obvious, and take it in for the ECU overrev check before my 4 days return window expires... I'll be honest I don't know why I'm doing this, I don't want to return this car.... (OK except if it has a class 6 overrev but even then I might rationalize it, I'm smitten)
