Default Detailing/Cleaning supplies

What supplies and brands do you recommend? I've had my new C2S home for just over a week. She'll be clear bra'd soon and I want to keep her looking nice. I'm not going to spend more time cleaning, waxing, and polishing than driving, but I also don't want to do any damage or waste money.

I'm starting over after pitching my cleaning supplies for my last sports car. I had a water blade and synthetic chamois for drying, which both seem to be no nos in my current understanding. I also have a cabrio with full leather, so I'll want to clean & protect it as often as necessary. I kept my last sports car 13 years and I wouldn't be surprised if I get close again.

Griot's Garage, Chemical Guys, Meguires, Armor All ... Tell us your brand, your product, and why.

Meguires.

Thought I knew how to wash and detail a car but mine looked like crap. Went to the Meguires class and learned a LOT.

I use their products and techniques and my car looks 10x better in less than a third of the time.

I like Einszett products. I use their cockpit premium for the interior, and their Scheiben-klar for the windshield.

I use Chemical Guys carnauba quick detailer, and P21S paste wax. My car soap/shampoo brand seems to change a lot - haven't found the perfect one yet.

Just make sure you wash with the two-bucket method to start. Avoid swirls early. Microfiber everything, no chamois! (and I'm going to forget you even mentioned "Armor All").

I never dry with any cloth. Use a leaf/yard blower. I have gotten much better results and virtually no swirls or scratches.

Have you thought about PPF with opticoat? It protects and gives a nice shine.

My car is coated with OptiCoat Pro.

+90% of my detailing supplies I buy from Phil at Detailers Domain. He has great stuff and good sales throughout the year.

Recently tried his much touted Kenotek Quick Detailer. Best one I've ever used, and I've tested a bunch.

What other products have you used from them?

One thing you got to get is the Master Blaster Car Blower.Hopefully Phil will run another sale for Christmas time. Last year it was 25% off with free shipping. Saved over $100.

Good info in this recent thread from April:

I am also a big einszett/nextzett disciple too. love their Windscreen Clear, Plastic Deep and Cockpit Premium and I think Colortec Wheel Cleaner is the best.

I am also a big user of the Blackfire line of polishes and sealants.
