Which Audio System do you Have?
Moving into some new product development and thought I'd see if everyone here could help me get some statistics. Which audio system do you have in your 991? As a bonus, feel free to comment on what you like/dislike about that particular sound.
Thanks for the help everyone!

Had Bose in my base cab and upgraded to the Burmester for my GTS cab. A game changer. With the top down, it is pure driving bliss with the sound system and the engine both going to "11." An aural symphony to the nth degree!

Burmester. Love the clarity. Some tracks are new again with things I haven't heard before.
The center speaker ruins the staging and the base could be a tad deeper. There's no (very little) sound from the rear; makes it sound half-empty.
I am, however, spoiled by the time-aligned 1-kw system with a 12" sealed sub, I put in my '91.

Base system in my 981B and Bose in the 991.2 C4S.
The 981B is a Cabrolet so I really didn't car about sound.
The 991.2 is a coupe sans sunroof so I wanted a little better sound.
The Bose has Surround Mode and another Mode that I had to turn OFF to get sound I Liked better but the Bose still sounds 'tinny'. No nice satisfying bass, with the bass cranked up, it sounds like a 'boom box' car! I've spent time trying to get a set up I liked but no luck yet.
I'm used to a 7.1 B&W home theater set up with 600 series speakers.
I have to listen to a Burmester but it had better be fantastic at the Porsche price to get me to order one my next Porsche!

On the serious note, I had 11 BMWs - 9 with HK and 2 with B&O. As a self-proclaimed audiophile I would say the Bose in the 911 blows away the BMW's HK system. Since our cabin is smaller, the sound fills much nicer with warm bass. I listen to all music, so I keep my bass at +1 and treble at +4 since I like my music a bit brighter. I keep all other equalizer setting at 0. Make sure you're using a high quality sound input, 320kbps (CD or Spodify or Apple Music with the highest def setting) to hear the difference.
The instruments don't sound as clear and precise as B&O or Burmeister, but for 99% of the population Bose will do. Between Burmeister and PSE, choose PSE. If you can afford both, great...

Base on my 991. Really bad. Bass only comes from door speakers, no sub, creating major and frankly unacceptable vibration and rattle from window/mirror switch. Ordered new switch and looking to upgrade system. Amp and at least new tweeters.
