Default PDK Reset

I was looking for a reset procedure in this forum but couldn't find one. I found one in the Macan forum and it seems to work. I have this weird issue from Stop->Go where the engine RPM would drop a hundred RPM after I lift my foot off the brake. I don't exactly know why but the 1st gear shift felt weird.

Did the reset and now it's back to normal and I haven't felt the RPM drop on brake let go anymore.

1. Start engine, turn off AC/PCM/Lights and wait 3 minutes
2. Turn on AC (no need max), but make sure AC is on (you feel the cold), wait 3 minutes
3. Stop engine, get out of car, shut the door, wait 1 minute.
4. Get in car, start engine, PDK seems to have reset.

The steps sounds like snake oil, but apparently work.

Is it April first? You forgot the step where you burn a sage bundle and bless the garage with Mobile 1.

You have to do that when you bring her home the first time or it doesn't work.

I thought the procedure was this:

Turn ignition to on (switch position 1) for 60 seconds then off (switch position 3) for 5 seconds then back to switch position 1 (ignition on) for 15 seconds - during process you do not turn the switch to position 2 (start engine). After the last 15 second step key is returned to position 3. Here are the starter switch position steps: 1-3-1-3.

Really? Wow. How about plugging in your durametric cable and resetting the PDK. The 1-3-1-3 with the ignition switch somehow seems to make more sense.

Don't have durametric

GrandLaker, that looks like a throttle body reset step? Not sure, sounds familiar though..

I am plugged into my Durametric right now and see no options to reset PDK there. Just command console, none of the usual Coding sections.

Here is the section from the repair manual for what you are trying to do. You appear to be on the right track... and maybe somehow it worked... but this is documented method:

So glad I'm not the only one.
Been taking mine to the dealer every 6 months or so to get the reset. Starts off fine then gets progressively worse after 4 months. It's almost like the engine stalls or is stuck between 1st and 2nd for a few seconds when pressing the gas from stop to go. Kind of dangerous when trying to get on an onramp but totally random: sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.
Ill have to try this sometime

Just go out and give it an Italian tuneup. That will recalibrate the PDK and engine.
