Sounds like you should sit in both, get in and out of both and pick which you want to live with daily as a daily driver. Lot's of differing opinions on this one.

Is it just me, or does anyone else raise the BS flag for x "way" seats?
I would argue that the 18 way seats are really 9 way seats - would you buy a seat that only went forward and not back, or up and not down?

Counting both directions as a "way" is marketing BS in my book.
Perhaps 18 button seats would be more accurate.

Just saying...

So I decided to sit in all the seats before finalizing my choice for 4 way sport seat plus. Good news is my choice works perfect for me, but the height adjustment seems not to be entirely linear. That is, as you go up, the back of the seat rises more than the front (I assume the same is true for 4 way sport seats). Anyway, another reason to spring for 14 way or 18 way seats.

1. Comfort. I am trying to find the thread about seat bottom padding in all of these seats but to no avail. I think from what I remember, the padding in the 4-way Sport Seats Plus is the best, followed by 18-way, 4-way SS, then 14-way. I like to take longs trips, 8-12 hours at a time and find the 14-way to be a bit non-compliant with my butt.
2. Weight. I know that the 18-way add an additional 60+ pounds, but does anybody have the table for the seat weight for all of them?

Thanks all.

Id also be interested in knowing how the 4 way ssp compare to the 18 way weight wise. 18 ways add 60 pounds? Geez I def was not aware of that. That's quite a bit of added weight.

Considering that comfort is my primary concern when sitting in a seat I could care less how much they weigh...I went with the 18 way since I can customize them much more than the others and I feel like I am sitting in the seat and not on them, as others have also stated.

Yes, but if the 4-way SSP has more padding, that would be an ***-et.

I have been in all of them. The 4 ways for me at 6'6" do not provide any support on your thigh near your knees. This means that your weight all goes onto one spot right on your butt/tailbone. Also you really end up moving around a lot more. If you are below probably 6', this is not an issue. The 18 ways are perfect and they also look great. The 14 ways do not have as much padding, but if you want a seat with slightly less bolstering, then this is the way to go.

Not sure if it matters but I also got mine with heat & ventilation, which some have said reduce the amount of padding but not that I could tell.

I am 6'2", and currently 195 on my way to 180.

It's all about the padding. I am fine tuning my build and down to the sport tex seats (which I think will add some comfort) and the power option. I currently have the 18-way's in the build but just want to be sure. I have an issue with carrying around 60+ pounds of added weight if it's not needed.

Love, love, love our 18-way seats. Driving sessions of 10-15hrs for trips across the country are nothing. Perfectly comfortable with zero fatigue during the drive or after.

That being said, this is my first Porsche so I don't have any experience with the other seats.

Could not stand the 14-ways....it was not evident when I tested the seat a few times prior to ordering.

I have a wider shoulder/lat (muscular build) and the padding SUCKED at my lat/shoulder area.

My daily drivers (Cayenne or Macan) have always had 18-ways and I should have stuck with it on my previous 991.2 car (GTS).

It will only be 18-way or LWB seats from here on out.
