I did the steering wheel swap myself
10 minute job.. no joke
- disconnect battery, wait 30 minutes (even 15 will do)
- Insert screw driver at the bottom of your current steering wheel, air bag will pop out
- Disconnect two plugs behind the air bag
- Use correct tori bit to remove 1 screw holding steering in place. mark position of steering wheel before removing
- Replace with new steering wheel
- connect and insert new airbag
done
I wanted MF AND paddles.. so I went with a 991.2. Total cost was $1700 for parts.. steering, airbag and conversion module so 991.1 car will recognize 991.2 steering and MF button will work normally
P.S MF only works on cars that already have a MF steering wheel. Those with toggle stalk , need to do a lot more "work"
