And you can take it out and leave it in the garage. If my car started burning, I'd just get out and let it go. No way they are fixing a car that burns anyway.

One grin inducing habit is to roll all the windows down, open the sunroof, and listen to that engine pop in S mode in parking garages with all the echo. Highly addicting!

I have only had it for a about 700 miles. The car is really great. PDK is fantastic and the turbos are great at altitude. It is silly that it does not remember for preferred driving mode. That should have memory tied to the seat setting. The normal mode with the auto start and stop is silly and unlike the Cayenne is does not remember the off button for start/stop.
I have a couple of big drives planned more later.

This is my first 911 and my third Porsche (other two were very old 951s). It just turned 1,000 miles so I'm anxious to try the launch control. As a matter of fact, I am hoping that it's a blast because if there is one regret that I have it's that I didn't spec it out with MT. But I'm really on the fence as the PDK is marvelous and never disappoints. It's just that sometime I find myself wishing I could be more engaged and paddle shifting just doesn't do it for me. Also, the paddles are too small and could be larger (i.e. Maserati or Ferrari) but that's minor.
The other item I'm on the fence about is the SPASM. I didn't opt for it because the car I test drove with SPASM was very rough on city streets. It was a 991.1 and the salesman said it's the same exact feel as the .2, however, reading up on the forum I sense that it's not the same at all. Again, I'm on the fence because I daily drive it in Normal mode and I find the ride to be superb.
I am in agreement with others that the settings (i.e. Individual) should be saved as part of the memory. Also, I would have liked to see a fixed rear wing option.
Overall, let's just put it this way....
This is the only car I've had of my last 20+ cars that I have wanted to wash myself and am willing to walk hundreds of yards to keep it safer in parking lots!

Interesting comments on the Bose. I had Bose in my .1 only because I bought the car off the lot, and it happened to come with the system. However, my wife's 997 has the base system, and I really couldn't tell the difference. So, when it came time to order my .2, I opted for the base system to stay within my budget (I thought the Sport Package was more important). I'm very happy I did it.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who loves driving in parking garages with the PSE turned on.

I've always been very anti bose since I was a teen. However, I'm 32 now and didn't want to drop 5 grand for a burmeister. As sad as I am to say it, I'm happy with the Bose. I think the bang for the buck is good with it.

I think the difference with PASM on the .2 is that you can have your cake an eat it too. Compliant ride in the comfort normal setting and a stiffer suspension with the same handling as a non PASM car when in sport mode. Its the comfort I'm thinking about these days.

My dislike are the gauges.
Why can't the coolant temperature gauge show the real information? It is nothing more than an idiot light. It stays at 194 degrees until there is a problem, then immediately shoots up to 250 degrees.
I also find the speedometer is a little optimistic. Why can't it show the actual speed?

Is anybody else having issues with voice control and Siri? Dealer and I can't get them to work consistently.
The one time it worked I asked Siri what she was wearing - her response - "Why would I be wearing anything?"
