Custom 911 E-Z PASS
I never liked the look of the regular E-Z Pass in the standard white color.
So I asked my wife to customize it one day given that she has great artistic skills.
One day I came home and saw an interesting E-Z Pass on the kitchen island that she created for me. I was amazed.
I just rest it on the dashboard under the windshield and it works just fine and at the same time looks great.
I really like it a lot, it goes well with the decor of the vehicle's interior.
It will now however need to be upgraded to read 911 GTS.
She says this time I need to make an appointment!
In case anyone wants to make this simple mod, I thought I would share it with everyone...

Thank You. That's not exactly what the COP said when he stopped me for no front license plate.
I just lay mine on the dash like this and seems to stay in place:

THIS, on all our cars , painted flat black on both sides and velcroed against the top edge of the passenger side of windshield ... " out of sight" inside AND outside ( std tinted upper glass all cars have )

Painted mine black and posted beside the rear-view mirror on the passenger side. left the strips clear and actually like the look from outside. Will take a pic when I get home from work later today

I have painted mine satin black in every car, and use the clear 3M mounting strips as some of you mentioned. Completely blends in with the top of the windshield and hides nicely behind the rear-view mirror. I still have no idea why they don't just offer them in black right from the get-go!

I too had mine painted black - it was confiscated at a toll booth entering Manhattan. Apparently, you are not allowed to paint them - had to get a new one. Not the worst of issues, but a pain nonetheless. Just a heads up.

I prefer to just plasti-dip it black so it's not permanent.

I used flat black paint, too. They disappear. We also have the new(er) EZ Passes that are about 1/3 the size of the picture posted above. I expect to get dinged about $30 each from the IDOT for painting mine. Worth it, since they are suppose to last about 10 years. Hopefully by the time the internal battery dies, IDOT starts providing black ones, and they won't notice.
