I noticed in that video that some laps the car has clear front corner lenses and in others they are Amber.

Yeah, they should put that engine in the base Carrera model. Maybe the 'S' as well, if what people are saying about its tuning potential is accurate.

If I see three constant instrument tests than I would accept the results. Cherry picking one test and concluding that the base is faster than a gts is well sort of ficticious. Firstly it's faster off the line and ends up even at the 1/4 mile in that test. So I would think that overboost plays a big roll. A jump off the line based on an over boost function is believable. After that the GTS would completely overcome the deficit just on hp alone. Based on that test only which to me is very inconclusive. Two different tests on two different days. I trust porsches published numbers more than any other publications. That's just me.

Love the front and the new wheel too.

I'm just surprised that test car has zero disguise nor any camouflage, I have a feeling Porsche's going to announce it soon.

It's not one test. There are several.....It's not cherry picking.

I have only seen one test where the journalist directly compared a gts and a base Carrera .2. That comparison wasn't a shootout on the same day or same track and weather conditions. In fact the GTS was tested over a year and a half ago. The journalist decided to pair the results even though they weren't done on the same day or conditions and test equipment. It's not a fair comparison and the journalist has lost a good bit of credibility by conducting a paper test and then writing about it as if he witnessed it.
Secondly if you can point me out to a direct comparison of the two vehicles or even a 991.1s. Would be great if you post it here. I haven't seen anything over the net that has a direct shootout style article.

Is it true that the GT2 is going to cost more than a GT3 or have I been misinformed?

Don't the turbos always cost more than the non?

If the gt2 was a super hot turbo S, it would cost more than the gt3 which is a super hot carerra s.

I am just guessing, though.

Over $200K. More than an RS.

Haha damn! I better put my name on the list for the next generation GT3. I love p-cars but 200k is too rich for my blood.

It is difficult for me to believe that any 991.2 GTS would arrive without the 3rd front radiator. As Larry noticed, the red coupe did not have one. I cannot be absolutely positive, but when I pause the great video of the 991.2 Cab it looks like that one is without the 3rd radiator as well. Of course, maybe all the extra heat generated by the turbo is flushed out through the rear air intakes and exhaust vents. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I love my 991.1 and have no plans to go into a 991.2, but I'm sure I could find room for both if the 991.1 hadn't blown up my piggy bank.

Was hoping for a different rear grill treatment for the GTS .2

It isn't so bad. No third radiator and with the heat that engine will produce a barbecue is in order. I am digging the front bumper all though.
