Best looking and sounding car in that video was that orange 718 Cayman S that pulled away at the end. Sounded way better than the GTS. And damn that rear end looks so muscular now.

Nope, but if they are MY2017 then they need to be introduced prior to MY2018
which would mean an October launch, and builds up until May 2018... when the
MY usually changes as I recall.

This is the pattern the 991.1 GTS followed.

typically monitor the various intl motor shows, Frankfurt, Geneva, Paris etc ... when such cars would be launched...

it *does* appear a little early in the .2 cycle for the GTS to appear ... but who knows ...

I was told by my Porsche Dealer that it would be a MY2017, but no further info.

Online I thought I saw the Base Price to be at around 130K??? Please confirm or correct me if I am wrong.

They will push this car out quicker than the .1 timeline for various reasons I have a feeling.

Not meant to restart the NA vs. FI war, but to the NA fans, how much faster would the 991.2 GTS have to be to make you reconsider your stance? As it is, the base 991.2 is as fast or faster than the 991.1 GTS based on the recently posted tests.

Not about the speed. It's the experience. That's what some of you guys have such a hard time understanding. The .1 is faster than I need already.

Wouldn't trade my .1 C2S for a 991.1 Real Turbo or Turbo S. Both which would demolish the .2's.

You don't buy any Porsche's because they're the fastest.

Let's leave it at that. Your question is obviously meant to stir things up. I'm surprised I had to explain it to you as is.

Fair enough, but isn't the "experience" multifactorial? Is it only about NA? Don't other things, such as speed, handling and ride count?

The sound, power delivery, and high revs. Anyway, some like vanilla and others chocolate. To each their own.

Handling and ride?? Take rear steering out of the equation, and you have the same car except the engine.

I don't care of this 991.2 GTS does 0-60 in 1.9 seconds and tops out at 242 MPH....numbers are just numbers.

I have no interest in the 991.2 but if the 992 GTS comes in around 480 hp with a lot of torque and is light and looks good i would make the move to FI. It's inevitable anyways.

I could not possibly agree more. I am loving my 991.1 but I am convinced that I will soon trade it for a 991.2 because I know I will enjoy the experience of driving the 991.2 even more than I do the experience of driving the 991.1.

Not sure if that means I like chocolate or vanilla but as a long time lover of ice cream, I can understand why folks would never sell their 991.1 and why others can't wait to get into a .2.
