The dealer shop foreman stopped by my house this morning, yes Sunday morning on his way through town with his young son, to take a look at my car. He brought one of the Porsche 'super-diagnostic computers' to check and see if he could re-set the parking brake issue. Brake engages, the gaps are normal but the computer forgets or doesn't sense they are in the right position and triggers the flashing brake light. I guess trip to the dealer and brake computer replacement may be next. Kudos though to take the time on a weekend to come to the customer's home.

That's a nice touch from your dealership.

Glad problem solved, and it was great to get the house call, but still -- what a PITA. Hope return trip goes smoothly.

I wish it was solved. Its annoying to have a warning light showing a malfunction when the parking brake is functioning. At least I think its functioning. But what if the car is right and we are wrong? Now I have simply reverted leaving the car in gear on a slope.
