Best way to spend $200k?
Ok guys, looking for some opinions. About to add a car to the stable, my budget is $200k. I currently drive a 991S with pdk and a 964 g50 targa. Love both cars and drive equally. Also have an Audi SUV for hauling stuff.
I'm planning to buy another car in the next month. I do a few track events and DEs per year (though looking to do a few more as my schedule permits) and also like to do car shows. I look at my cars as drivers and not interested in a car to put in the garage. I typically pay cash for my cars but generally don't love buying new cars and paying for the initial depreciation.
The options I am looking at are as follows:
1) Keep both 911s and buying a preowned McClaren MP4-12C...add the (least douche) super car to to stable. I've driven one and like a lot but clearly a bit flashy.
2) Buy a 991.2 Turbo S .If I do this, does my 991S ever get driven?
3) Sell my current 991S and buy a new 991.2 911S and an Aston Martin Vantage GT 6-speed. I think the Aston is by far the best looking 'new' car out there and the price of the GT is a steal. I've driven a 991.2S. Feels much quicker than my current 991 and I like the changes to the car...though the exhaust sound isn't as spirited.
4) Sell current 991S and buy a used '13-'15 Turbo S and Aston Martin Vantage GT 6-speed.
As my buddy would say - these are clearly first world problems, but I'm curious of any opinions.
Thx,

I would get an exotic if you've not had one before. Maybe a Ferrari, but that's my bias since I own one and am a fan of the marque. If you decide to sell it in a few years, it should hold its value reasonably well. If you're worried about looking too blingy, then perhaps avoid one in red or yellow. Maybe a V12 like a 599 or 575M or 550 in black, blue or grey?
Like you said, a first world problem, but a great one to have. Goog luck in the hunt. Look forward to seeing what you get...T

Sell both P's (I assume you can get $150k more or less), stretch $50k, then get 991.2 tts ($200k) and one exotic ($200k). Don't forget calculating insurance though as they can be expensive.
You'll have one great GT with its precision & DD practicability, one super exotic with its mind blowing senses & pack of inconveniences, and one SUV for hauling stuff.

Buy a used 991 GT3 for $150. Put the remaining $50 in a good mutual fund.
Use the C2S and the 964 for weekend fun, date night, club events and concours. Use the GT3 to hone your skillzzz on the track.

Don't sell the 964. It's the only one holding value and appreciating.
