It will be a happy ending with these. You'll like them better.

Save those visors. Get them recovered at a decent auto upholstery place.

Agreed! They were my 1st pick when building my car but I let my leather infatuation take over. smh

I got the rest of the decal off so as mentioned, I will take it to a leather shop and see what they can do.

Agreeing that removing visors is best.
It gives you better visibility and control over sticker removal.
It must be very difficult reaching overhead, to rub off the sticker, with the visors still attached.

I replaced my visor with Alcantra with no Stickers on them .
Perfect.
What really pissed me off was the VW visors they have on a $200 K TTS. Alcantra should have been standard

Did they come with the wiring and bracket all assembled?

$1,300 later I have the Alcantara's installed. Still have the original leather ones but need to have them refinished

Thanks for posting. At the end of the day, your visors look great. When you take the originals to a shop and you please get an estimate to have them covered in leather and alcantara and let us know what they say?

Is it a lack of patience in not letting the stickers properly soak, some materials reacting differently, seems like it should be an easy DIY.
I've removed 2 sets (4 visors). The first set came off like magic. On one of the easy ones I may have gotten the whole sticker off in one gentle pull.

The second set was a different story and took extreme patience. Given my level of impatience I'm surprised mine didn't end up like the OP's.

I'm doing this now, and I'm having a little bit of trouble getting the electric wiring out to swap them out. Is there a fastener or button that I'm supposed to push to release them? Do I just pull it out? (I'm referring to the 5th picture in the original post).

Thanks!

Figured it out...just place a flat head screwdriver into the connector to release it.

I started trying to replace the sun visors. Well, one part of the cover popped up easily, then the rest of the area refused to budge. I decided not to do any more bc I left a couple of tiny dinges on the headliner. I am afraid if I exert too much pressure I'll actually break the cover. Any more suggestions? Thanks

Move a trim instrument around and jiggle it. I put some dinges in my plastic cover, but it's covered up anyway.
