Default Going to purchase my 991 GTS saturday.. heres my deal.

Just wondering what you guys think about it;

2015 Porsche 911 (991) GTS:
BASE: 114200
Carmine red: 3140
Black leather incl Alcantara GTS package with carmine stitching:3850
PASM suspension: 890
GTS interior pkg: 4120
PDK:4840
Sirius with nav:1120
Sunroof: 1990
Total: 135200

I'm getting this car with 2k miles on it (never registered, it was a show model, the kind they keep in the malls) CPOd for 6 years 100k miles for 113500 after negotiation.

Couple questions:
Theres no sensors or backup camera, I saw online you can buy the camera and intergration kit for $1500, anyone link me to a thread where it was done?
What upgrades can I do to this car?
I'm coming from a long line of BMW M cars, I'm trading an m6 gran coupe. What should I expect?
Hows the overall deal I'm getting?

Drive the car for a while, then decide on mods, if any.

Mall display? How's the paint?? Scratches and such.

The deal? CPO is great to have.

Enjoy. Post pics.

Prepare to fall in love.

My advice would be to not spend money upgrading it. Spend your money on track days or a driving school. Just my $.02

I posted the deal. I haven't actually inspected the car yet because its 3 hours away, but I would assume the car is in tip top shape since it's from a Porsche dealer..

Sorry, I'm not "questioning" your deal. Just making the notation regarding the deal to be nice that the CPO is included, that's all. I'm not that close to the market anymore. I let STG do that now. He's better.

As for being in "tip top shape" I think your expectation is unreasonable and may set you up to be disappointed. Regardless, if there are some scratches and such from being a mall display and 2,000 miles, it can be corrected with a good detailer and at least $1,000. Give or take. Just be prepared, and have a plan.

Agree. I think there should be an expectation that the car be in "like new" condition (especially for the coin spent), but you should be prepared if otherwise. These are questions that should be asked (and agreements made that issues will be taken care of) before you get there so there are no surprises.

Here's how I would look at the price:

$135,200- minus year 1 depreciation = $114,920

$114,920- minus year 2 depreciation = $103,428

Add in CPO of a $3,000 value

I think the car should be more like $106,428

So, to me the car looks about $7 high. Is this because it's a GTS? Maybe.

The only exterior mod that is cheap and worthwhile, IMO, is the clear reflector side markers from Suncoast. While not a modification, I would add Xpel clear bra to the hood and front fenders. I, too, drove M cars for 20-years. You will enjoy your first Porsche, especially a GTS.

Does the build sheet say 714 or 741 "press vehicle?" If so, might have been used for more than just show.

I just bought a 2016 GTS with a few more miles (9k), similar build for about the same price FWIW. So I think that deal is a good one provided the car checks out.

I was coming from an F10 M5 so please PM me if you have any specific questions. They are very different cars.

Mine is also without a backup camera. So far it's been fine. There are threads on how to add one. Search for a user name Plenum. I think he posted it.

I've seen CPO cars with chips and scratches. Serious ones.

EDIT: Read the price wrong initially. I think that's a fair deal, assuming the car isn't damaged.

GTS interior pkg: 4120

That's a nice option. The seatbelts are cool.

I have no opinion on the deal. If you like it go for it, its not like they are making these anymore.
