Think it's an ok but not great deal. If you see it and no major scratches/swirls. The 2k miles are a little high though. It is a gts however. My greater concern is why the dealer stated it was unpunched if STG says it was. That's just dishonesty which makes me worried what else they're being dishonest about.

Edit: OP said unregistered, not unpunched so my mistake.

I'll let you know in 1k miles, still in the break in period but I can tell you that up to 4200 RPMs the car stayed in 2nd gear, in manual mode, and did not self shift

doesn't self shift in manual mode I believe. But I'm not sure what happens when you approach the rev limiter.

The rev limiter just kicks in, doesn't shift, and doesn't let you go past redline. Was like someone hit the brakes.

Accidentally happened to me when I thought I was out of manual mode once.

I'd be concerned with NO break in on this car and launches. Seems like it was a dealer test drive car. Sonnen probably didn't want to pass it along to one of their customers after it was the community " ______ ".

If this GTS doesn't work out I have a '16 MT Riviera Blue GTS for sale. It's still in the wrapper. No stories. The car was delivered to the dealer and stored. It is a spectacular 911. I drive an (almost) identical build in Mint Green. If you have any interest please let me know. Regardless, the GTS is a great car.

i'll probably pass on deal, the 2000 miles on its own is not a concern, but the fact it needed tires at 2000 miles is a concern, the only logical explanation is probably some track use. Some might say these cars are meant to be driven hard so no worries, that is your call

This sounds like a press car.

There's another possible explanation, which is that the tires were hopelessly flat-spotted after the car was parked for who-knows-how-long.

The car might also have been vandalized by a tire-slasher.

Might be a stretch, I agree, but there are other potential explanations that are worth looking into if the car is otherwise a good match for you.

I recommend a very close inspection to the fenders behind the front and rear tires. 991 has a weak spot on those areas for scratches.

If there're scratches, chips, or even blemishes under the light, most likely it had been driven hard in track with some burn-out sessions.

Our modern tires do not exhibit irreversible flat spotting from sitting. Once the tires heat cycle, the flat spots would be eliminated.

Did not know there was a premium as such. I would not pay over MSRP specially after getting 10K off a new car

In all fairness, that's a PTS car. Very rare. About 1% of total 911 production. Hence the premium.
