Mods can delete if you want. I've been getting a little bored with recent threads. Maybe not 991 related but oh so cool and good background music too.

The only thing better than watching him ride, is trying to figure out what Guy Martin is saying.

Try the movie "road" which is about these two brothers that dominate road TT motorcycle racing in the 70-90s. It's pretty mental and of course ends tragically for all involved.

I watch every race they televise every year. Best entertainment on TV all year. And Jamie Whitham and Guy Martin are two of the most interesting characters in motorsports. Never get tired of hearing them comment/commentate on things.

Praying for the safety of the riders.

It's usually on every night for a week, showing the highlights of the races for that day. Starts with practice/qualifying this Saturday I believe. The sidecar races are particularly nuts.

I have never seen this on tv but would love to check it out. Anyone know which network covers this madness?

Sorry, this is just stupid. I have seen too many motorcyclist accidents and the injuries they suffer at reasonable speeds. I can't imagine what one of these cyclist would look like if they had an accident at those speeds.

Eh, kinda slow.

I guess you can't really tell, but this guy is going ~500 mph at about 200' above the ground.

and another
(I've flown this route and it's better than any motorcycle ride or even P-car ride ever could be!)

It's a closed course race, no different than F1 in Monaco, Canada, etc. Been going on for over 100 years. Of course it's dangerous. All forms of motorcycle racing are dangerous. Isle of Mann is one of, it not THE, most famous motorcycle races in the world.
